They probably wont be... no wait, they definitely wont be cheap, but you can check for yourself this week at the Union LA shop when these plaid cut ups are dropped. Here's some eye candy.

Supreme can literally put there name on anything and it will sell....for example....look at their skate tool box they recently released. Dopeness.

Anyway their Supreme Book Volume 5 will be released in Japan on October 26 with a US date expected shortly after and it is full of some worthwhile reading. With a list of big hitters in between the pages and The RZA on the front hit, this fully packed monster will definitely be a huge success. Some of the dope filled articles will include stories on Damien Hirst, Diddy, Eric Koston, Nate Lowman And John Lurie. Terry Richardson hooked up the photography so its gonna be a good look. The legendary pro skateboarder and now artist, Jeremy Wray is presenting his first-ever art show this Friday, October 23rd in Huntington Beach, CA. Look if you’re not familiar get familiar. This dude is insane on a skateboard. If the words: Element, Adio, and 360 flips don't mean a thing to you, this event ain't for you (nerds). But to the rest of the world it will be hosted at Hero’s Pub, 8pm-1am. BE THERE..

As I was doing my daily local internet rounds, I came across Santa Barbara's own sneaker boutique CRSVR in Complex's online retail spotlight. I've been to CRSVR a couple times, and I must admit that the store is on point with the over all look, the vibe is humble (no cocky stuck up nerds in here), and they got some dope brands to keep you lookin right. They got RANSOM! Dope! Anyways check the full article here, show some local love here, and be aware of the Orisue X CRSVR Halloween party at Tonic as well. Yes yes yall, CRSVR is definatley showing how our untapped niche market can benifit from a store like this. Much respect to the owners, they are doing a great job supplying the streets.

Hixcept is out of control with their cut and sew program! This is there 50% Grey collection from their Le Terrain Vauge 2009 drop, which consists of a hoodie, some pants and a shirt as well. The right amount of black and white dots creates a definitive grey pattern.....wtf is going on! This is definitely for the right kind of person, but I admire how progressive and daring this collection is.This shit is bananas yo! Here's some promo shots from their online lookbook. Very Fresh, Mature and Conceptual. Very Avant-Garde, Very Dope. Peep.

It gets Better

WTF!

Mike Giant of Rebel 8 is one of those people that can amaze you with his artwork, grab your attention with every drop and collabo he's ever done, and can still be the most humble person living among us. I am so inspired by homies attitude towards life and his ability to be grounded while having an amazing career in the art, fashion and tattoo industries. Did I mention dude is color blind! Yah, Giant is definately a staple to the underground subcultures of our generation. I love his blog so much I had to post something straight off that bitch. Check his philosophy and where the "8" comes from! Dope!

A lot of people ask me what the “8” means. For myself, it’s a reference to the Noble Eightfold Path as taught by Shakyamuni Buddha about 2500 years ago. Through deep introspection and mindful living, following his path has revealed that my own greed, hatred, and delusion are the roots of my suffering. His teachings helped me understand that my suffering originates from within me, not from some outside source. By practicing his Noble Eightfold Path as best I can, I honestly feel like I’ve liberated myself from much of the base suffering I feel day to day by simply understanding that my ego is a creation of my thinking mind and I don’t need to pay it much attention if it isn’t helpful.
The Buddha broke his Eightfold Path down like this:
1. Right View
2. Right Intention
3. Right Speech
4. Right Action
5. Right Livelihood
6. Right Effort
7. Right Mindfulness
8. Right Concentration
Although this sequence isn’t particularly chronological, in my experience Right View helped the development of Right Intention, which in turn helped the development of Right Speech, and so on down the list.
Gaining a proper understanding of Right View is the first step in realizing liberation through the Eightfold Path. Right View is sometimes translated as “right perspective”, “right vision” or “right understanding”. It revealed to me a way of seeing life as it truly is in the present moment, rather than experiencing life as conceptualized within the confines of my thinking mind. In this way, Right View helps me understand that I create my own suffering, and happiness for that matter. I learned that I must be personally responsible for maintaining peace and tranquility of mind because nobody else will do it for me. Once I had really established Right View for myself, I was able to free myself from my fear of inevitable sickness, aging and my eventual death. I also began to understand the base nature of human existence and Ultimate Reality. And although Right View may begin with concepts and propositions, through diligent meditation practice it has gradually become a way for me to eradicate the distractions of my thinking mind.
Right View has also revealed to me the Law of Karma, such that every action in body, speech and mind will have a likewise reaction depending on your intention. To put it simply, if you wish to have a life free of suffering you must act with that intention in everything you do. If your intentions cause harm to those around you, it should be no surprise that someone else intends to harm you. Violence feeds violence. Only non-violence brings peace. I have certainly found this to be the case in my own experience.
Right View also revealed to me the nature of impermanence, such that all things are subject to change. Nothing is absolute, or static. There is no birth, nor death, only change. Fear of death exists in all of us, and it holds us back. We weren’t designed to last forever. We all have to make our peace with death before we can really live. Take advantage of your time right here right now before it’s too late.
As an example of how to understand Right View, consider a leaf on a tree. You may look at a leaf on a tree and allow your mind to create all kinds of distinctions about the leaf. You could compare its color to other leaves. You could compare its size and shape to other leaves. You could think about how old the leaf is or consider how long until it falls from its branch. You could give the leaf a personality and create its life story. You could consider all kinds of “What Ifs”. Like, what if a gust of wind comes along and breaks the leaf free of the branch? What if the tree catches fire? What if the leaf has magic powers?
Or, you could just sit down, quiet your mind and meditate on the leaf. This is how you get to know the leaf as expressed through Right View. With Right View, you can see that the leaf has no beginning and no end. You can see that the leaf is connected to the tree that is connected to the Earth that is connected to the sky. You can see that the rain that falls from the sky is in the leaf. You can see that the leaf produces the oxygen we all need to breathe. You can see that the veins in a leaf grow in the same way that the veins in your body grow. You can see that when the leaf is dry and old, it falls to the ground, disintegrates, becomes fertilizer for the tree, and is again reborn as the tree itself and everything around it. With Right View, you will see that you and the leaf are in fact One.
And once you have established Right View for yourself, you will also see that as a human being you were meant to be happy, content, and loved. Simple as that.
From the Dhammapada:
“All experience is preceded by mind, led by mind, made by mind.
Speak or act with a corrupted mind,
And suffering follows
As the wagon wheel follows the hoof of the ox.
All experience is preceded by mind, led by mind, made by mind.
Speak or act with a peaceful mind,
And happiness follows
Like a never-departing shadow.”
Another dope event for you hipster, streetwear alcholics. This time it's on La Brea Ave at the famous denim bar of American Rag. If you haven't been there, you haven't been anywhere. This is one of my favorite stores in the world, and no bullshit, they got mad goods, even a spot to get some custom made denim (Rouge Territory). Free Pabst and dope tracks provided by Rick Klotz of FreshJive. This Friday night from 6 to 9pm at 150 S. La Brea Ave LA, CA 90036. Read the flyer.....a lot of dope brands will be reppin.......FreshJive.....WOR.....WESC!!!

I was on Hypebeast when I ran into this dope hoody from Wacko Maria out of Japan, and I thought to myself, Damn that shit is faded and looks old, but it's sooooo sick, and then I thought, I bet its out of control money for one of these. I was right! The Rock and Shake Hoody for their F/W collection has a vintage treatment with faded graphics.....very dope, it also incorporates music and the, oh so popular, Latino Catholic culture, but anyways... this shit costs ¥28,500 (that's $319 big ones). Catch em at Cliff Edge
.
So Complex just posted the top 100 t's ever made for the 2g's. Of course your number one was none other than Supreme, but that shouldn't stop you from checking out where your favorite brand was at. The Hundreds was up there, well down there , but up there, along with some very dope Origanal Fake shit. A lot of the pieces are definately classics, others not so classic, but go peep!

Here's some of my faves.....

Perks & Mini "Banana"

Wowch "Pussy Pistol"

Mighty Healthy "Listen to Ghostface"

Supreme X Joy Division

FreshJive "Don't Tread On Me"

His cleaning solutions are used by many of the giants in the streewear industry, but they shouldn't be the only ones with this knowledge. All I can say is that this has got to be a dream come true for all the sneaker geeks out there, including my ass. I included some before and afters from Marks Blog to illustrate the power this shit is holding. Available at InSoul.
