So I bet some of you, at least I hope some of you, were wondering how you could see Banksy's “Exit through the Gift Shop” film right? Well the man himself has made that possible for those of you in London by creating a makeshift cinema in a tunnel under the Waterloo Train Station. Yup yup, the joint even has a popcorn stall, bar lounge and temporary bathrooms.Screenings will run daily at 6pm and 9.30pm till March 4th.

Lights Camera CRSVR

This past Sunday we got a chance to get some footage of the dopest sneaker spot in Santa Barbara. I first of all want to thank Nick Sakai over at CRSVR for giving us the opportunity to interview him, and also to Chandler  Landon for the video he captured. Shoot, with the type of movies he's been pumping out at the film festival, I know this will be crack on film. Anyway, while Chandler shot footage of the product they carry, Ruben and I were shooting the shit with Nick about MAGIC, shoes, streewear, and how the Nooka man mysteriously moves from one side of the building to the other. I know, its as weird as you think. Anyway, I'm rambling again, this post is to let everybody know that we will be doing a feature interview on CRSVR and of course many other stores, people, events, and whatever falls in my lap at the time. Keep a look out.

Listen To This:

Mobb Deep Ft. Kool G Rap - The Realest
Off of Mobb Deep's fourth album, which was released in 1999. Which seems like a long time now days. The 90's where the golden era of hip hop. The sound and innovation sparked from 1980 era hip hop / break beat sound which in comparison didn't carry that great of technology advancement. The 90's produced some of the best albums hip hop has to offer. Which sprouted from a generation of a new culture. Anyway, I've check the joint. "The Realest" was produced by Alchemist and featured the heavy hitting lyricist Kool G Rap. He is often cited as one of the most influential and skilled MCs of all time as he is a pioneer and master of Mafioso Rap/street/hardcore content. Set it off troop.

HOCKEYMASK!

Just In. .My man Hockeymask just sent over some of his more recent works. Coming out of the 805, Representing Ill Qaeda, Hockeymask comes through the only way he knows how, in true hardcore art form style. Don't expect to hear your typical flows over recycled beats and all that. Hockeymask makes it clear that he stays true to the meaning of a mixed tape and as an artist in the underground scene.

The Lp entitled, "Fuck The Dumb Shit" and his recently added mix-tape, "Hardcore Art-form Vol. 2" proves that Hockeymask doesn't plan on stopping now . Jam packed with raw lyrics described as gully rap and influences ranging from Death Metal to Diamond King this makes his raps versatile within the art. You never know what to expect from this Hardcore, Street Sav, Graffiti artist MC. All you fake MC's ain't safe no more! Here is a line from a track entitled "Sleep", "We don't cat nap, we take beer comas... and sleep with one eye open, and that's the third eye..."

Vietnam Graff Project

Every now and then you get offered a painting job that you actually can’t believe? Vietnam Graffiti themed installation project for The Santa Barbara Maritime Museum. I liked the idea and just knowing that it was apart of our history was enough to get behind something like this. Who would have thought graffiti had anything to do with the Vietnam war? Well truth be told there is. The Exhibit is called "Marking Time: Voyage To Vietnam" its open through April 24th, 2010, Dont miss it. The exhibit contains graffiti and artifacts left behind by troops on their three-week journey to war. Go to www.SBMM.org for more details. Just last night I caught a film called "The Face Of War" it was a real glipse of how eye opening the war really was. Special thanks to Jim Knowles who was a guest speaker and a Veteran himself. His story really impacted me and opened me up to a deeper understanding of these young troops. I will be working on the project this Saturday the 20th. Come show some support!

The Sco..

Whats good Rivals Fam? So it was Valentines Day weekend and your Ol' boy wasn't trying to have it. Thought I would use this weekend to escape and meet up with some old friends, get into some paint, and check the scenery. It was a good turn out.

J. Stalin on the cover of SF's Gaurdian. Stalin is like the dopest rapper out of Oakland right now. His beats are marinated with the Towns current obsession: The 1980's. Classic 808 beats with old school keyboard synths, resulting in an '80s Hip Hop sound.

The homies Kev One and Connor.
Lots of memories and experiences with these dudes.
There last weekend living in S.F. together, but hopefully not the end of it.
Get at me when you're down here Kevo.

Connor's awkward wolf blanket. 'Nuff said.

$10.99 pack of Red Stripe, We bought like 3 more of these.
That was just the first night.

Walking through northbeach I found this.
"Kart wheres my $" -Kask 640

This spiked tooth cyclops is up everywhere in all sizes.

Stopped in china town park to catch a glipse of this.
smoked a J and kept it movin'

Dr. Suess' art gallery. It was closed but I took this shot of the inside.

Trying to skate in my jordans, not so good.

Diamond Life Baby..

Inside the homie Andy Sweets' mind.

Valentines add for the crack heads.
Its just Doo-Doo baby!

Trying out the panoramic feature on the camera.
Just a Shot of us watching a movie. Stoned on the couch!
Word.

Painted a line up with Junk and Slumper.
Late night on the bay bridge bumpin' Short Dogg eating Jack N' the Box.
Classic
.

Almost got trench foot out there.
Big ups to Slumper for this one.

My main diet in the city.
Tacos from the bar next door.

Dopest shoes I found at some shop.
I was suprised there wasn't anything
I thought was worthy of flicking.

Plant Trees Everyday.

This was on Haight Street. Some real interesting characters
this guy does with spray paint.
I really digged it. Artists name is Lango.

Kevs interior design work really compliments the pad.
cudos.

Ready for warfare with these. $15 bucks. Secret spot.

Why drive around in a bland white truck
when you can whip around in this beast.

I met up with the home-slice Butters a.k.a Hootch.
Took me up to a spot off a cliff to paint somethin for V-day.
Not to mention a great view of the Goldent Gate.
A Gaunt piece kicks it to the left of us.

Prof. Venco's drawing on his desk.
These need to be printed or made into comics.

An old tag of mine from like 2006? on the back of a mirror.

Potstickers are the shit.

Miscellaneous "Takin It Slow" sticker.

WW501

Just when I thought Levi's couldn't get any more dope they bless us with this historically inspired model of their 501 cut. The 1944 Levi's 501 takes us back to the World War 2 days of production. Excess metal, fabric and threads were all spared back then to help out the war effort. Even their iconic wings stiching "Arcuate stitching" was painted on to reduce the amount of thread normally used. Another perfect recreation of history. You gotta love that shit. Only in London baby.....248 smackers.
