BodegaXLacoste Jump Off

Boston's own, Bodega, recently worked with Lacoste on a new twist to the Esteban high top sneaker. Inspired from native-American culture, the shoe uses mostly brown shades made of nubuck with a collar lining print that is reminiscent of traditional American Indian art. The shoe has a very simple design with many small details like tone on tone embroidery used for the croc logo and light brown for the Bodega hit on the leather tounge. Killer! 3 sets of laces, only 250 pairs will sell, April 3rd homie.

Maloof Money Cup NY

The Maloof Money Cup is coming around corner son. The last one at the OC Fairgrounds was ill, fucking hot as hell, but ill. Chris Cole was the winner, he went extra big last year, no joke. Now this year, with 1 million big ones at stake, I'm sure everyone is gonna step it up.  NY  is this years city of choice so I have a feeling its gonna have a rough edge compared to the laid back Orange County crowd. The NY course (located in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens) has some dope features like built-in replicas of famous NY skate spots. Waoow! The Maloofs will be donting the park to Queens after the smoke clears. What a happy ending it will be. It all goes down June 5-6, 2010. Heres a map to peep out.

This week I bring to you, Guru's "Jazzmatazz Vol.4 Back to the Future" album dropped in 2007. "State Of Clarity" features Chicago based rapper Common and Jazz musician/ Producer, Bob James, who is recognized as one of the progenitors of smooth jazz. His music has also had a profound effect on the history of hip hop music, having been sampled often. Guru is a member of the hip-hop duo Gang-Starr. He is known for delivering complex lyrics in a unique monotone style. Members of the hip-hop community consider him to be one of the pioneers of hip hop-jazz crossover. The name Guru is a backronym that stands for Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal and the less often used God is Universal; he is the Ruler Universal, which are both references to the teachings of the Nation of Gods and Earths. On February 28, 2010, Guru suffered a cardiac arrest, on March 2, he was reported to be recovering after surgery. On March 3, a press release to AllHipHop.com said that he had woken from his coma. Rivals got ya back Guru..
